The Tanglewire Trap was a particularly offensive piece of guerrilla warfare. Spring lined wires of various gauges and resistances with burrowing, fusing tips. Deployed against a robot, machine, synthetic, or android would create a messy network of short-circuits by creating haphazard connections. As soon as a tendril found a power supply or a control unit, the target was effectively suppressed. Even if it survived, most automata will refuse to do any trusted work with a bot that's been scrambled by tanglewire. Biologicals caught hording whip wire and soldering tips soon became to be recognized as budding domestic terrorists, and now the traditionally geeky past time of cable organization has found new vigor in pop culture.
