Moon Dress

I thought she was being silly

with a play on words

a dress made from the moonlight

seemed a little bit absurd.

I took her word and followed her

out one starry night,

and she showed me how she'd weave

moonbeams into fabric bright.

Quicker than it should have been,

her stitching was complete,

mere minutes for a full length dress

was really quite a feat!

She put it on, and gave a twirl,

and asked me what I thought.

I said, "Between the earth and sky,

I think you've found your spot."
