Friday Yesterday

Sunday

Scotty had a situation, simply stated he was stuck

living a certain Sunday on repeat, it's just his luck.

Soon after every sunset, when he saunters off to sleep

as soon as he shuts his eyes he starts to hear the beep

of his alarm, announcing the arrival of another Sunday

and it plays out in a similar way every single day.

It matters little what he does, though he strives for otherwise,

he wakes again on Sunday every day without surprise.

He remembers every forgotten day, a sinister, subtle touch,

as if this looping torture wasn't tortuous enough.

But still he's yet to meet the witch so she can tell him why

she cast the curse, see, on Monday he was sure to die.
